Frequently Asked Questions relating to the Maintenance of Competence (MoC) App

Frequently Asked Questions – Individual User

Go to either Google Play Store or Apple App store and search “Maintenance of Competence Log” – hit Get/Update. For the web version simply go to https://moc.gen4.info

The app should work on your existing device – any smartphone should do. Contact us at [email protected] if you have any trouble regarding your device

Activities that you have entered manually (not using a QR code or added by a company) can have evidence added to them using the web version of the app, located at: https://moc.gen4.info/ – To login, use the same login details as the phone app

This can be done using your phone app or web version of the app (located at: https://moc.gen4.info/ – To login, use the same login details as the phone app by viewing the menu on the left and select “Permissions”

Note: the certificate year, calculations and log will now relate to the highest function of Certificate listed

Enter your email at https://passport.gen4.info/forgot and you will receive an email with a link to reset your password.

Note: If you no longer have access to that email address you will need to email [email protected] to add your new email

You may be seeing an error like the one below for the following reasons:

  • If the end date of your certificate is before today’s date this error may appear on the phone app. If you are seeing this error, please check the date range of your certificate. Please follow the instructions on How to – Update Certificate Details Following Renewal – Individual User
  • A similar error may be seen if you have entered an incorrect email or password. If you have forgotten your password, please select the “Forgot password?” option to reset.
  • You may need to remove the App and re-install it to reset.
  • It is also worth checking Light vs Dark mode on your phone – we have found issues when in Dark Mode.

No. You simply ‘Update’ the app from either the Google Play Store or Apple App store. For the web version simply go to https://moc.gen4.info

Some activities may have been saved to devices in ‘offline’ mode. For this reason, we are asking all users log out of the app and log back in BEFORE they update the app on their device to prevent the loss of any data. Please follow the Sync Procedure.

Please email [email protected] to have your account and data deleted from our system. This will only be done at your request from the email attached to your account. Once deleted we will not be able to recover any of your data.
