Course overview

The Blasting Explosives User License course offered by Mines Rescue provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to work with explosives in underground coal mines. On completion of this course participants will have the skills and knowledge of:

  • Storing, handling and transporting of explosives
  • Supporting shot-firing operations
  • Conducting underground shot-firing
  • Managing blasting operations

Completion of this course fulfils the formal educational requirements to apply for NSW Blasting Explosives User License for applicants that hold a current Deputies certificate of competence or higher.

Note: GST of 10% applies to non-accredited training.
