Course overview

Mines Rescue offers three confined space courses and a refresher program for individuals who are required to enter and work in a confined space, perform standby or supervisor duties, perform confined space rescue and operate under breathing apparatus.

  • One day - Entry/Workers
  • Two days - Standby/supervisors
  • Three days - Standby/supervisors, CABA and confined space rescue
  • One day refresher - Standby/supervisors, CABA and confined space rescue

Our training involves practical experience in real confined spaces including tunnels, containers, tanks, drains and shafts.

Upon successful completion of training, participants will be issued a Statement of Attainment for the units of competency listed in the table below:

Participants completing the Refresher training will be issued a Statement of Attendance.

These units contribute to the completion of the Certificate III in Process Manufacturing (MSA30107). To maintain currency of skills and knowledge, Mines Rescue recommends a refresher course be undertaken every two years.

To gain confined space accreditation participants are able to undertake a range of different units. Mines Rescue provides customised confined space training to ensure your unique needs are met.
