Mines Rescue offers three Confined Space courses designed to meet the needs of individuals who are required to enter and work in a confined space, perform standby or supervisory duties, perform confined space rescue and operate under breathing apparatus. Mines Rescue also offer one day re-accreditation, and a one day refresher program.
Our training involves practical experience in real confined spaces including tunnels, containers, tanks, drains and shafts.
Upon successful completion of training, participants will be issued a Statement of Attainment for the units of competency listed in the table below:
Participants completing the Refresher training will be issued a Statement of Attendance.
To maintain currency of skills and knowledge, Mines Rescue recommends a refresher course be undertaken every two years.
This training takes into account relevant aspects of the current Work Health and Safety legislation, Confined Spaces Code of Practice and Australian Standard 2865.
One to three days
If you believe you already hold some or all of the skills, knowledge and/or experience for this course, you may be eligible to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
