Course overview

Our Course in Field-based Training and Assessment* is aimed at field-based trainers and assessors across a range of industry sectors. These people will have significant technical or vocational expertise and are expected to deliver skills-based training and/or conduct assessments of colleagues in the workplace, using resources and assessment tools developed by others.

The Course in Field-based Training and Assessment consists of one core unit and one elective unit. Each unit has both on-course and off-course assessments. As a result, a workplace is required.

It is recommended that clients allow time between workshops for participants to consolidate their skills and knowledge, and complete their assessment, before attending the next workshop.

Participants may choose to complete one unit or both. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the relevant unit achieved:

Trainer module: TAEDEL301 Provide work skill instruction

Assessor module: WPTASS001 Carry out workplace assessments

Successful completion of both units will result in a Statement of Attainment for the 10235NAT Course in Field Based Training and Assessment with the above units included.
