DESCRIPTION:Education and Training | Training Categories | RCR – Road Crash Rescue  \n\nIntroduction\nThis course provides you with an understanding of road crash rescue equipment and techniques in a rescue environment. \n\nWho should attend?\n\nIndividuals who may be required to perform road crash rescue as part of their duties\, such as an Emergency Services Officer.  \n\nWhat you will learn\n\n\n	How to prepare and respond to a road crash\n	Establishing and maintaining a safe rescue scene\n	Management of casualties\n	How to remove casualties from entrapment\n	Casualty handover to Emergency Services\n	Scene preservation and post operational activities\n\n\nCredential issued\n\nUpon successful completion of this course\, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the following units: \n\n\n	PUASAR022 Participate in a rescue operation\n	PUASAR024 Undertake road crash rescue\n\n\nThese units contribute to the RII30719 - Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue \n\nCourse delivery\n\nThis course is delivered through classroom-based training\, desktop scenarios and practical exercises. \n\nAssessment includes written\, oral and practical tests. \n\nDuration\n\nFive days \n\nEntry requirements\n\n\n	You must have successfully completed the following prerequisite unit before commencing your course:\n	\n		HLTAID011 Provide First Aid \n	\n	\n	When booking this course\, you will be required to provide evidence that you have completed the above units of competency (e.g. a First Aid certificate).\n	This course is based on a Certificate III level qualification.
