Mick Jones

Meet Mick

Mick joined Coal Services in September 2022 as Chief People Officer. Prior to joining Coal Services, he was Head of HR – APAC for FLSmidth.

Mick has extensive mining and construction experience with over 25 years in the industry. He has held a range of roles throughout his career ranging from mechanical tradesperson through to senior positions covering operational business responsibilities as well as senior strategic HR positions. Through these positions Mick has been responsible for both national and global teams, giving him experience and exposure to many different countries and cultures. Mick holds formal qualifications in Human Resource Management and has extensive experience in all facets of people management. He is passionate about enabling businesses through leadership and has a proven track record in developing high performing teams.
