DESCRIPTION:Education and Training | Training Categories | CPR – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)  \n\nIntroduction\nThis course provides you with the skills and knowledge to perform CPR in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. \n\nWho should attend?\n\nIndividuals who wish to develop their skills to provide CPR in a range of situations both in the workplace\, at home or in the community. \n\nWhat you will learn\n\n\n	How to assess and respond to an emergency situation\n	Practical application of CPR procedures\n	Communicating details of the incident to Emergency Services\n\n\nCredential issued\n\nUpon successful completion of this course\, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the following units: \n\n\n	HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation                         \n\n\nCourse delivery\n\nThis course is delivered through classroom-based training\, desktop scenarios and practical exercises. \n\nAssessment includes written\, oral and practical tests. \n\nDuration\n\nTwo hours \n\nEntry requirements\n\n\n	There are no formal prerequisites for this course.\n	You must be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR.\n	This course is based on a Certificate II level qualification. You should have appropriate literacy and numeracy skills to manage course work\, activities and assessments.\n	Mines Rescue recommends you be aware of the policies and procedures of your workplace before starting the course.\n\n\nOther information\n\nWhat we include when training is at a Mines Rescue Station: \n\n\n	Tea and coffee facilities\n	Additional PPE specific to your training\n\n\nWhat you need to bring: \n\n\n	Fully enclosed footwear\n	Unique Student Identifier (USI) number\n	Student Portal Login\n\n\nRefresher: \n\nRefresher training in CPR should be carried out annually. \n\n\nUpcoming workshops\nPlease note: credit card payment is required at the time of enrolment.
