The Coal Services Standing Health Committee (SHC) is completing a 12-month review of the NSW Coal Industry Cardiovascular Health Standard (CVHS), which was released in July 2025.
Purpose
All NSW Coal Industry Health Standards are reviewed 12 months after initial publication and at least 5 yearly thereafter, or sooner if required. These reviews ensure the standards remains current, reflect best practice, and identify any issues experienced in implementing requirements of the standard.
Review and Feedback Process
CS Health has completed an initial internal review of the CVHS and we are now seeking feedback from customers and industry stakeholders.
We invite you to review the updated CVHS below and provide your feedback via the form below or by emailing the Standing Health Committee [email protected].
NOTE: Feedback will be accepted until 5pm on Friday 31 July 2026.
Next steps
- All feedback received will be reviewed and considered by the SHC for inclusion in the second edition of the CVHS.
- Following industry consultation, the CVHS will be reviewed and endorsed by cardiologist A/Professor James Otton, the SHC, the Coal Services Clinical Governance Committee and an independent occupational physician.
- The endorsed second edition of CVHS will then be released with supporting communication highlighting any key changes and updates.
