With more than 90 years’ experience assisting the mining industry to manage risk and operate safely, Mines Rescue boasts an unrivalled reputation.

We harness decades of experience and expertise to provide incident response. It is our primary role, and an area in which we excel.

Mines Rescue also plays a pivotal role in training workforces to ensure the highest quality standards. Our training packages have been developed by emergency response professionals with:

  • national qualifications in course development and training and assessment
  • long-term practical experience in underground and surface operations and management
  • skills in emergency preparedness and mines rescue.

With modern equipment and training facilities, our Rescue Stations are located in the coal fields of Lithgow, Moolarben, Newcastle, Singleton and Wollongong.
