Regular physiotherapy treatments can help improve movement, reduce pain and promote health

If your workers have been ill or injured, or are looking for help to manage a chronic health condition, our treatment services in physiotherapy, exercise physiology and massage may help to increase recovery and improve quality of life.

The CS Health treatment team provides a range of specialised services, and no referral is needed.

Our treatment professionals can work with your site on a consultancy basis, or individual appointments can be made at your nearest CS Health office.

Our services are available to the general public, not just those working in the coal mining industry, and are accredited for WorkCover NSW, Department of Veterans Affairs, Medicare and some health funds.

Exercise physiology

Exercise Physiologists use exercise and cognitive behavioural techniques as a way of preventing, managing or treating health conditions and injuries such as:

  • injury management
  • mobility issues
  • cardiovascular (heart) disease
  • musculoskeletal injuries (e.g. arthritis, osteoporosis, back/knee pain)
  • diabetes and obesity
  • asthma or emphysema
  • improving strength and conditioning.

Other services include:

  • weight management
  • exercise programs for general fitness
  • pre and post-surgical rehabilitation
  • enhancing sports performance.

Physiotherapy may improve mobility and strength and reduce the pain and stiffness related to a variety of musculoskeletal conditions including:

  • spinal and peripheral injuries
  • work-related and sports injuries
  • assistance with pain management.

Physiotherapists can also help to prevent further injury by listening to clients’ needs and working with them to plan the most appropriate management for their condition, such as:

  • education about the condition, posture or movement restrictions
  • manual therapy (mobilisation or manipulation)
  • exercises to improve strength, balance, flexibility or co-ordination
  • sport-specific rehabilitation.

Massage may help to reduce the impact of painful, tense and tight muscles by improving blood flow and the release of toxins.

Gym facilities

Our gyms feature the latest strength and cardio equipment in a fully air-conditioned, purpose-built facility. We can tailor an exercise program to suit your needs. This includes:

  • initial consultation
  • full induction to the gym
  • development of a personalised exercise program

We also offer integration between our gym facilities and functional area for graded exposure work conditioning.
