Coal Services Christmas Closure Information

Christmas holiday closure

Coal Services will be closed from 1pm on Wednesday, 24 December 2025. We will return to normal operations on Monday, 5 January 2026.

Please note that some of our businesses may have different closure periods, while others will continue to operate with essential staff during this time. We appreciate your understanding and wish you a safe and happy festive season.

Coal Mines Insurance

A limited number of employees will be available should workers or employers need assistance (public holidays excluded). Please continue to follow standard procedures for injury notification.

To ensure there is no disruption to workers compensation payments during the Christmas and New Year period, payments will continue as usual except for Thursday 25, Friday 26, Tuesday 30 December 2025 and Monday 1 January 2026, where any usual payments will be made the next working day.

CS Health

CS Health will close at midday on Wednesday, 24 December 2025. Normal operations resume on Monday, 5 January 2026.

CS Health offices (including phones and emails) will be unattended and no services will be available during this time. However, any pre-arranged, existing commitments for onsite drug and alcohol testing will be completed as scheduled.
CS Health will liaise with the Order 43 External Doctor Network to monitor medical approval requirements.

Mines Rescue and Training

Mines Rescue will close at 3pm on Friday, 19 December and will return to normal operations on Monday,  5 January, 2026.
(Please note that course bookings will not be processed until we return).

Mines Rescue will be adequately resourced during this time to cover critical duties.
Please follow standard emergency protocols in the event of an incident requiring assistance.
