Meet Scott

Scott Dennis was appointed as General Manager, Transformation in October 2025.

Scott was appointed to the role of General Manager, Transformation in October 2025 to lead the coordination of transformation efforts across the organisation; enhancing operational effectiveness and embedding strong project, change, risk and compliance frameworks.

Scott brings more than 19 years’ underground coal mining experience, including senior operational roles with Illawarra Metallurgical Coal as Manager of Mining Engineering at Appin and Dendrobium mines, and previously as Undermanager and Production Manager.

He joined Coal Services in 2020, applying his operational expertise to training, safety and consulting roles. Most recently, he was the Mines Rescue Consulting Manager where he assisted tier one mining companies to enhance their risk management, legal compliance and emergency management.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineering (First Class Honours), NSW and Qld Mine Manager qualifications, and SAI Global Lead Auditor certification. He is a member of the Mine Managers Association of Australia and serves on the NSW deputy examination panel.
