Meet Jennifer
Jennifer Short joined Coal Services in November 2023 as General Counsel and was appointed to General Counsel/Company Secretary in May 2025.
Jennifer is an experienced legal and governance executive in the resources sector and possesses extensive legal expertise in the coal mining industry, profound knowledge of industrial relations and employment law as well as corporate governance qualifications. Jennifer is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, a fellow member of the Governance Institute of Australia, holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Industrial Relations) from Griffith University, a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the Queensland University of Technology, and a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Governance and Risk Management from the Governance Institute of Australia. Jennifer has experience working across both private practice and within Union organisations as well as a Director on the Coal Long Service Leave Funding Corporation. Jennifer is an accomplished communicator, has extensive knowledge of coal mining and has established networks within the industry.
