Meet Rachel

Rachel Elmes commenced as General Manager, Insurance on 2 November 2026.

Rachel brings more than 25 years of experience in workers compensation and personal injury insurance, having held senior leadership roles with GIO, QBE and EML. Throughout her career, she has successfully led large operational portfolios, delivered business transformation programs and driven customer-focused initiatives, while building strong leadership capability and high-performing teams.

A highly regarded leader in personal injury claims management, Rachel has extensive expertise in strategic operations, occupational rehabilitation, human resources and stakeholder engagement. She is recognised for her people-centred leadership style and commitment to creating transparent, inclusive workplaces where people feel supported and empowered.
